Alan and Davina have been on an exciting, challenging, interesting and faith filled journey with our Lord and Mission Aviation Fellowship for the past 11 years.
However, the story began in 1991 when we read the MAF magazine Flying for Life and felt an overwhelming desire to work with this charity.
Believing Alan would fly with MAF, spare time during the next 13 years, was filled with acquiring licenses and going through the MAF recruitment process.
God’s plan was a little different: Davina was recruited to implement the UK National Curriculum into a Tanzanian school to raise standards for the children including those of MAF staff and Alan was recruited to fill the Deputy Operations Manager post. 18 months later Alan became the MAF TZ Programme Manager.
Four years serving with the MAF TZ team was followed by four years in Nairobi, leading the MAF Kenya team. For the past 2 years we’ve filled short term critical vacancies in Chad, South Sudan and Mongolia.
Currently, we are in Ulaanbaatar with the Blue Sky Aviation team. (MAF is referred to as BSA in Mongolia). Our latest newsletter speaks of what’s happening here.
It’s with much appreciation and gratitude to our families, friends and supporters because they’ve enabled us to serve through their support, prayers and gifts – we can do what we do because of you!
